Same-Day Crowns
Thanks to CEREC technology, many patients can now receive a custom crown in just one visit. Instead of waiting weeks for a lab-created crown, CEREC crowns are designed, milled, and placed within a single 2–2.5 hour appointment. The result? No temporary crown, no waiting weeks, and a perfectly fitted restoration in one day.
Traditional Crowns
In some cases, a traditional crown created by an outside dental lab may be recommended. This process requires two or more appointments: At the first visit, the tooth is prepared, and digital scans or impressions are taken. A temporary crown is placed for protection and appearance during the time between appointments.

Regardless of whether you choose a same-day or traditional crown, the process includes: Tooth Preparation, Digital Scan or Impression, Crown Creation, Temporary Crown (if needed), Final Placement.
